Say Something! We all have to grow!

In memory of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, I thought it would be befitting to start the year 2020 with a challenge.

Have you ever been around people or in an environment where you felt strongly about speaking up but you didn’t? Maybe because you know yourself, your mouth, and you just simply chose to stay silent. Personally, my fear was if I spoke up, that depending upon the response given back, I may snap and lose myself. So in an effort to protect myself, I chose not to speak up. Well I have found myself in these situations quite too often and decided that this would come to an end!

I have learned that we have to stand for something just like Dr. King did. I encourage you to speak up in love, with class, and with boldness when you see someone being mistreated, something unfairly done, or etc. It takes little to no effort for us to simply BE KIND to one another. And it’s even more powerful to use your voice. We all have areas of weakness and we all need to grow!! Use your voice to make a difference and help others to be better. If we keep this cycle going what other “change” can we make, like Dr. King, to impact the world??
