George Floyd

After the recent killing of George Floyd, the country is in a warranted uproar. As an African American woman, I understand the true struggle and unfair treatment that has been going on with black people for many years in this country. To watch a video of a white police office forcing his knee into this man's neck, and George Floyd crying and asking for help was a horrific scene to watch. It is my prayer that God will move in a mighty way on the hearts of all people. It is time for things to change in this country such as laws, right, equality, and overall respect for one another. We should not treat someone a certain way solely based on the color of their skin. As a result of all of this several riots are occurring all over the country in many cities. Looting and destruction is taking place while in other areas people are having peaceful protests. I don't necessarily agree with the looting and destruction but I understand that it is coming from a place of frustration. We have marched peacefully, prayed for many many years and to the eye nothing has changed. This reminds me of the unfair treatment that the Israelites went through until there was a bold leader named Moses who lead them out of captivity. I believe God sees, knows, and heard all of our cries. We may not understand everything but I'm believing that even in all of this mess, something good will come out of it and God will get the glory!!
